Jane’s Story

*“Before joining MEE-FIT, I wasn’t doing much for my fitness. I’d dabbled with weights at home and walked the dog, but I hadn’t truly invested in me. I felt unfit, and as I got older, I started worrying about maintaining my independence.

A small trip on a curb one day made me realize—I recovered this time, but what if I didn’t next time? What if I became one of those people who had a fall and couldn’t get back up? I knew I needed to do something before it was too late.

I’d never set foot in a gym before. Social media made it seem like they were full of ‘gym bunnies’ training every day, and I thought I’d feel like an outsider. But MEE-FIT was completely different. The structured guidance, the supportive coaches, and the community helped me build confidence. I wasn’t left to figure things out alone.

Since joining, I’ve lost a stone, gained muscle, and—most importantly—built the strength I need for everyday life. I can lift compost bags, move wheelbarrows, and do all the things that keep me independent. The proof is in the data—my muscle mass has increased, my bones are stronger, and even after just two weeks off due to surgery, I felt the difference.

This isn’t just about fitness; it’s about taking control of my future. At 67, I refuse to accept that getting weaker is inevitable. MEE-FIT has changed how I see my health. It’s now a non-negotiable part of my routine—just like taking medication.
