“Lost 2.5 Stone, Gained Strength & Finally Feel Like I Belong in a Gym” - Andy Lowe | 56 | Market Drayton | Information Manager
Andy’s Story
*“For years, I avoided gyms. I struggled with self-confidence, hated how I looked, and felt like I didn’t belong in a fitness environment. On top of that, my body was starting to struggle—stiffness in the mornings, back issues, and flare-ups that were happening two or three times a month.
I tried swimming, walking, even running, but nothing really stuck. I wanted to get fitter, but every time I thought about joining a gym, my self-doubt got in the way.
Fast forward to today, and I’ve lost 2.5 stone, I feel the fittest I’ve ever been, and I genuinely enjoy training. More than that—I belong here. I don’t feel like a spectator anymore. This is my journey, and for the first time, I’m excited about where I can take it.
The biggest shift for me? Accountability. At MEE-FIT, you don’t just sign up and get left to your own devices. The coaches check in, they notice when you’re not there, and they help you work with your body instead of against it. I spent two years protecting my back after surgery, afraid to push myself. But once I sat down with my coach and got a tailored plan, I finally started making real progress.
If you’re on the fence about joining, I’ll tell you this: Just do it. I had every excuse—self-image issues, confidence struggles, weight concerns—but stepping through that door changed everything.
MEE-FIT isn’t just about getting fit. It’s about gaining confidence, finding community, and realizing that you do belong here.”*
