Dawn’s Story
*“I’ve always been a keen cyclist, but long-distance and heavy rides used to leave me struggling. My legs would burn out, and I’d feel exhausted. I knew I needed to build strength, but every gym I’d tried in the past left me feeling lost and intimidated.
I’d walk in, get shown around, then be left to figure things out on my own. Mirrors everywhere, big guys lifting heavy weights, and me thinking, I have no idea what I’m doing. I’d stick with it for a while, then stop going—back to square one every time.
Then I saw an advert for MEE-FIT. It looked different from anything I’d tried before. I came down for a walkaround, signed up for a six-week trial… and I’m still here two years later!
Now, I’m stronger and fitter than ever. My confidence has skyrocketed. Just last week, a group of us cycled from Whitchurch to the Horseshoe Pass and back—something that would have terrified me before. Two years ago, I’d have said, No way! But this time, I knew I could do it—and I did.
The best part? I never have to second-guess my workouts. The coaches guide me every step of the way. The plan is already on the screen, so I walk in, follow the session, and get it done. No thinking, no intimidation—just progress. And if I ever need an adjustment because of an injury or challenge, the coaches are right there to help.
The atmosphere is what keeps me coming back. Everyone is so friendly, there’s no judgment, and the banter makes it fun. I actually look forward to coming!
To anyone nervous about joining: just do it. If you want to be a fitter, stronger version of yourself but traditional gyms have put you off, this is the place for you. Come for a trial, get a feel for it, and I promise—you won’t look back.”*
