“Why Did I Wait So Long to Start?” – Jane Arrell | 50 | Northwood
⸻
When Jane first walked through the doors at MEE-FIT, she was 50, working from home, and feeling it.
She used to be active—but now her body was aching more, her energy was low, and even simple movement didn’t feel quite right anymore. She knew she had to do something before things got worse.
She’d never seen herself as someone who could keep up in a gym. The thought of an endurance session terrified her.
But she pushed herself to give it a go—and everything changed.
She’s now training 3–4 times a week, consistently.
Her energy, mobility, and confidence have skyrocketed.
She’s lifting more than she ever expected—deadlifts included.
And her old mindset? Gone.
As Jane puts it:
“I thought I’d never be able to keep up… but I surprised myself. I even set a goal to run a 10K within a year. The minute you walk through the door here, everyone’s friendly, no one judges, and you always feel better walking out than when you came in.”
She came here “just to try something.” But now? She feels proud. Strong. More like herself again.
No more hiding. No more saying “tomorrow.”
If you’re sitting there wondering if you’re too late, too unfit, or too far gone…
Start. Just start.
Like Jane says:
“Why did you wait so long?”
