Mark’s Energy-Boosting Fitness Journey at Mee-Fit

Mark Woolley is a 57-year-old who had always liked the idea of fitness — he’d read about it for years — but had never actually taken the step to get started. With a physical job but very little cardio in his routine, he wanted to feel fitter, more active, and more comfortable in himself.

The Challenge

Before joining Mee-Fit, Mark wanted better all-round fitness and more energy for everyday life.
Although he was strong from work, he didn’t feel aerobically fit and often felt worn out by even small hills or brisk walks.

He also didn’t want a shouty, military-style gym environment. The idea of joining a gym where he didn’t know anyone, didn’t know what to do, and might not enjoy himself had always held him back.

Why He Nearly Didn't Start

Mark’s biggest hesitation was the fear of being shouted at or pushed too hard.
He joked that he “never wanted to join the army,” so he didn’t want trainers barking orders or making him feel uncomfortable.

He also wasn’t sure whether he’d enjoy it — and if he didn’t, he knew he wouldn’t stick with it.
