Please read the following terms carefully.
Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions are entered into by and between MEE-FIT* (hereinafter: "MEE-FIT") and You (hereinafter: "the Member").
Services:The membership entitles the usage of MEE-FIT facilities and the equipment & services available therein.
Membership:The membership is personal and cannot be shared.
Age Limit:The Member confirms that he/she is 18 years old or older. For persons 16 or 17 years old, exceptions are granted based on a written parental consent. Persons under 16 years of age must be supervised at all times.
Health:The Member confirms that he/she does not suffer from health problems that would hinder exercise or prevent him/her from engaging in exercise, or that would be detrimental or adverse to the Member's health, safety or physical condition if he/she did exercise. In case of any doubt, the Member shall seek advice by a medical doctor who should confirm the ability to exercise. MEE-FIT shall have no obligation to perform a fitness assessment or similar testing to determine the Member's physical condition. If an assessment is done at MEE-FIT, it is for the sole purpose of compiling comparative data in order to track the Member's progress in a programme and not for diagnostic purposes.
Liability:Each Member of MEE-FIT shall be liable for any property damage and/or personal injury caused by the Member on the MEE-FIT premises. It shall be the obligation of the Member to pay for any costs involved upon presentation of a statement thereof.
Waiver of Liability:Any and all use of the MEE-FIT facilities shall be at Member's own risk at all times. The Member shall not utilise any equipment unless he/she knows the appropriate usage. MEE-FIT shall not be liable for any injuries, physical impact or damages to the Member, or the property of the Member, or be subject to any claim arising out of the use of the premises and/or of the equipment made available to the users.
Lost Property or Theft:MEE-FIT does not take responsibility for loss or theft of any personal belongings. Any items left on MEE-FIT premises will be kept for a period of two weeks before being disposed of.
Access & Security:Classes are available according to times stated in the MEE-FIT booking system. Classes and instructors are subject to change with no prior notice.
Payment:The Member is responsible for the payment of the membership. This is true even if the amount is debited directly by MEE-FIT. Agreed price only applies if the Member pays according to the agreed conditions.
Membership Subscription:The first month's payment or pro-rata amount, along with any sign-up fee, is payable at the point of joining. Ongoing monthly payments will be debited on the first of each month, unless agreed otherwise at sign-up. The member is responsible for all payments, including automatic debits by MEE-FIT. If a payment is late, the member will receive a reminder email and access may be temporarily suspended. Membership continues to run during any suspension. If payment remains outstanding after 30 days, the member is in violation of the contract and the full remaining balance due within the 60-day notice period will be payable immediately. MEE-FIT reserves the right to transfer unpaid accounts to a debt collection agency, which may incur additional fees.
Notice & Cancellation:All MEE-FIT memberships are subject to a minimum 60-day notice period. Notice must be submitted in writing to team@meefit.co.uk. The member remains responsible for all payments due during the 60-day notice window, regardless of usage. This ensures MEE-FIT receives two full membership payments following notice of cancellation.
Exceptional Cancellation:Early cancellation may be granted in exceptional circumstances, such as:
- Relocation more than 20 miles from MEE-FIT (proof of address change required)
- Medical reasons (medical certificate required)
- Job loss (P45 required)
Price Changes:Membership fees will increase in line with inflation from 1st January each year. Any additional changes will be communicated with a minimum of one month's notice.
Frozen Membership:It is possible to freeze a rolling membership due to medical or personal circumstances, subject to approval. During a freeze, payments may be paused or continued (with time credited back), depending on the situation. Requests must be submitted in writing, and terms confirmed in advance.
